Entertainment-Education drama set in Bougainville,
shot in Pidgin, showing the new way courts will function,
which will incorporate the village courts' function into
the formal court structure.
The government justice system is returning
to the war-torn island of Bougainville and POM Productions
were commissioned to write and produce a scripted drama
showing how the formal and informal justice systems can
still work together.
"Ruth Nambawan Farmer"
An Entertainment Education drama set (and
shot) in a village in the Eastern Highlands Province of Papua
New Guinea, scripted in Pidgin, with a choice of English subtitles,
or English dubbing. This story follows the difficulties and
eventual triumph of a 'typical' village woman growing vegetables
for the fresh produce market.
The finished DVD product was entitled "Ruth-
nambawan Farmer" and was part of the Village Extension
Worker Project, funded by the FPDA, UNDP, GTZ and NZ aid. |
